Why We Like The Speedplay Comp Pedals
Wahoo designed the new generation of Speedplay pedals for newer riders to get to feel what it’s like to ride best in class performance. The Speedway Comp Pedals are aggressively priced and built for function, offering the same amount of adjustment as the higher-end package with the same world-class pedigree power transfer. We install the comp pedals on any bike we own, knowing the weight difference is negligible but the power we’re throwing down goes directly from our legs to the drivetrain just like any Speedplay pedal.

My experience
Pedals work fine while riding, clipping in and out takes some getting use to, having listened to some on YouTube I was prepared, but still takes some practice.

Easy clip in, set up takes some attention
These pedals are very simple to clip in and out, once you learn the foot placement. Coming from standard three hole clip ins, you will adjust from the toe first to a flat-foot-down type of motion. I am working through a clicking noise/feeling while pedaling by adjusting set up with wedges and float.

Speedplay. The Next Generation
I used the old school speedplay X series pedals for about two decades. I was sort of skeptical about the transition to the Wahoo clan. Would they be as good? After all, the initial acquisition of Speedplay seemed bumpy. No, they are not as good. . . they are WAY THE HECK BETTER! The metal ring around the pedal for longer life span. The cleat redesign. Really, firm, positive clip in and out. And the walkable cover--Sheer genius. I no longer have to stuff cleat protectors in my pocket. As usual, Mounting the cleat to the base is a bit of a pain, but that was always the case. Only thing I miss is the flats for a pedal wrench. Great job, Wahoo, on smartly updating these

Wahoo comp pedals get the job Done
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Wahoo Comp pedals deliver as advertise. They are on the heavier side of the models. I did not buy them for marginal gains. Simply bought them for economical reasons. They work perfectly however , match my bike color and get the job done. No problem clipping in and out.

Pedals are Okay, Cleats are terrible!

The pedals are ok, it is good to clip in and out you can adjust the float but in my opinion, it should be very tight but anything can adjust the way they prefer. The issues start with the cleat screws with Phillips heads, come on. That is ridiculous! You can not even tighten with 4nm as it is required without beginning to mess up their heads. Second, the easy cleats don't come with the base of the cleat surrounding which makes it almost useless for outdoor rides because it will gather dust, mud, and everything in between. This is for my Zwift Frame, and that is okay! But I don't recommend it for outdoor bikes. About competitive cyclists? They are amazing, I recommend the store!!!!

Using these pedals on my new Wahoo Bike Shift. These have been a great addition to my road bike so had to have these on the Shift. Very pleased. Easy in for secure lock while pedaling across the wide range of pedaling techniques. Then easy out.

Enjoying new pedals although right pedal has spontaneously come unclipped several times! I followed all the installation instructions same as the left pedal which does not come unclipped unless I want it to
