My favorite cage needs some modification

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've tried carbon fiber (expensive and fragile), steel (heavy), aluminum (not flexible), and plastic (low price, but heavy) cages, and this one is actually my favorite due to the low price and durable plastic. It is stiff and needs a little bit of modification to be usable which I'm totally fine with doing. Mod 1: The lip on the side where you put the bottle in is sharp, so take some sand paper and sand it so it's rounded to help the bottle slide in easier. Mod 2: The cage is also stiff and it's difficult to get the bottle in, so take a heat gun or a hair dryer and heat up the cage and bend it open a little. I bought 1 for my bike and 2 for my son's bike, and I bought 1 more to have as a spare since I like it so much.

Hard to get a bottle in

The cage is very stiff relative to the bottles I own. They need to deform substantially to be inserted. Hard to use.

Perfectly made

I needed a new bottle holder for my all mountain bike. It works great and is super strong. Great product and I haven’t lost a bottle yet!
