Great improvement over Kortal and Tectal

I've been wearing POC helmets for the last seven years, and in that time have gone through at least 5 helmets (due to frequency of use, rather than accidents). I started with the Tectal Race and Race Mips. I really liked those helmets but found that they didn't integrate with the Oakley glasses I wear as seamlessly as I would like. I also found that the helmet pads seemed to collect sweat along the forehead and then release it at inopportune times, causing a waterfall down my face and into my glasses. I moved on to the Kortal Mips and found that the integration with sunglasses was much better, but the sweat issue was still a bit of an issue. I noticed the increased bulk of the helmet, but that wasn't a huge negative most days given the increased protection it provides. As I gained speed and started racing cross country, I found that on days when I was training hard, I'd go for my road POC helmets due to increased airflow, less weight and fewer sweat waterfalls. So this is where the Cularis really hits a sweet spot for me. It is the best MTB helmet from POC that I have used in terms of sunglass integration, and the airflow and sweat pads are designed in a manner where I no longer get spontaneous downpours of sweat. It may have a little less protection than the Kortal, but it is really well suited for my XC / fast riding where airflow is important. I'll keep one of my Kortals for rides where I'll be hitting bigger downhills and janky trails. This helmet feels like a big step forward, rather than a minor evolution. If your head shape works with POC helmets, and you've tried the other MTB offerings, I highly recommend you consider the Cularis when you're buying your next helmet.
