Super comfortable and well-designed hydration pack
This is a perfect-sized pack for what I actually need - holds about 2 bottles' worth of water, plus some treats and an extra layer. It's small enough that I can still use the actual pockets on a road jersey while wearing it. The harness mesh material is pretty breathable; not as breathable as a suspended pack with a frame, but for a pack of this size and weight that's just not feasible. This pack is so comfortable, I forget I'm wearing it. It is designed for a cycling position (torso leaned forward) as opposed to a running position (torso more-or-less vertical) and it feels more comfortable on the bike than a running vest does (I had been using an Osprey Duro before). I highly recommend this pack for slightly longer days. It's not a commuting pack, but it lets you comfortably get a few more hours in on the bike without needing frame bags.

As someone who does not
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who does not like to ride with hydration packs I can say that I'll continue to use this pack, it works great. Its fit is snug so it does not shift around. I was able to take everything out of my jersey pockets and seat bag and get it all into the pack which simplified things. I'd buy this pack again.

Absolutely love this pack. Fit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this pack. Fit is secure without being restrictive. I got this for aggressive trail/enduro MTB riding and descending with a pack has never felt natural. The Escapist is so comfortable and secure I don’t even notice it on the descents. Not to mention the functional aspects of the pack and storage in the straps is awesome. This one is a home run!

Excellent pack that’s just big
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent pack that’s just big enough to fit all the tools you could need for a long day out on the bike.

Perfect fit over a chest protector
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- l/xl
Although this pack is marketed more towards gravel & XC riding, I sized up to the L/XL to see if I could finally find a pack that fits well over my Leatt chest protector for enduro. I've gone through so many vests and hip packs over the past few years and all of them either push the chest protector out of place or just don't fit over it. I'm really stoked that the Escapist Velocity 6 fit perfectly over it after I sized up and it doesn't bash into the back of my full face helmet either. Plus, the straps snug down tightly enough that I can easily still wear it for XC and gravel rides if I want. The tool roll in the bottom of the pack is a huge bonus too!
