What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"These shoes handle technical trails and high-speed XC racing with ease. The stiff carbon composite sole helps me maximize power output, while the TPU lugs provide excellent grip for tricky hike-a-bike sections. The BOA® system keeps the fit snug and comfortable, making them a top choice for long, demanding rides."
For riders who push the limits on rugged XC trails and fast-paced endurance rides, the Mavic Crossmax SL II MTB Shoes are built to perform. Featuring a carbon composite outsole with a 70/100 stiffness rating, these shoes maximize power transfer without sacrificing comfort. The BOA® L6 Fit System and Velcro strap ensure a secure and customizable fit, keeping us locked in and focused on the trail ahead.
Protection is just as critical as performance, which is why Mavic equipped the Crossmax SL II with a reinforced TPU toecap and 360° upper shielding for impact resistance. The aggressive TPU lugs and included studs provide superior grip when we’re forced to hike over rough terrain. Whether we’re sprinting through tight singletrack or climbing fire roads deep in the backcountry, these shoes give us the confidence to ride harder, faster, and further

Unhappy with purchase

I have ridden on Sidi shoes for many years and decided to give these a try because I have used other Mavic products in the past which I have liked. I have ridden on them on gravel and on my indoor trainer so cannot return them. Unfortunately these shoes are uncomfortable on my feet- they run large so the fit is sloppy no matter how I adjust the strap and Boa cable, and worst of all, the sole has a large amount of flex when putting significant force on the pedals. I would not purchase them again. Due to the cost I plan to tough it out for a while but will be replacing them with something else eventually.
