Spend enough time racing over the roads less traveled, and you come
up with a dream shoe: something that won't weigh you down, has enough
comfort for all-day racing and riding, easily adjustable with tired
hands, a durable upper that won't balk at the sharp rocks, and
breathable for varied conditions. Giro's Sector delivers all of that and
more, in a shoe built upon the Ventana, with a stiffer and lighter
carbon-composite shank and Synchwire upper for the optimum in stiffness,
weight, and comfort.
The Synchwire upper
is Giro's proprietary upper construction, comprised of an ultralight
mesh and welded TPU reinforcements. This combination creates a
breathable material with better durability than a traditional fabric
mesh. Synchwire also allows Giro to make the upper from one piece of
material to eliminate seams and hot spots that can arise over many miles
of pedaling. The heel and toe get rubber reinforcements to further
prevent the sharp rocks of the desert from taking away your style or
speed. Two BOA dials help hone-in the fit with adjustability within 1mm
for the perfect fit throughout the day. The soft lace guides create a
wraparound fit, further enhancing the comfort of these magic slippers.
The
carbon-composite outsole provides the rigidity needed for better power
transfer over rough terrain, while having just enough flex to be able to
hike that bike up a steep section if needed with the durable rubber
tread. Compatible with 2-bolt cleats, the Sector is ready to pair with
your favorite mountain and gravel pedals.
