Five Ten Freerider Pro provides enhanced grip, protection, and quick-drying comfort for flat pedal riders
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve tried a lot of flats and always come back to these. The grip is unmatched, but it’s the extra toe protection and fast-drying upper that really make them a step up from the original."
Refined for aggressive flat-pedal performance, the Five Ten Freerider Pro brings next-level protection and trail-tuned feel to one of the most beloved shoes in mountain biking. The Dotty rubber tread combined with Stealth® S1 rubber gives riders maximum traction on any pedal, wet or dry, rough or smooth.
With an impact-resistant toe box, fast-drying synthetic upper, and plush EVA midsole, this shoe is built to handle long days, big hits, and unpredictable terrain. It sheds moisture faster than the original Freerider, making it ideal for everything from alpine descents to post-rain laps at the bike park.
Whether you're pushing your limits in enduro, charging steep lines, or just want the best grip in the game, the Freerider Pro delivers comfort, confidence, and a proven ride feel that flat pedal riders swear by.

Customers report the shoes provide great traction on the pedals and are comfortable for all-day wear both on and off the bike. The shoes are described as well-constructed with a sturdy sole and reinforced toe box. However, some users noted issues with sizing, saying the shoes run small or have a narrow fit. No slip shoes
If you ride a mountain bike, stop wearing regular running shoes. These make such a big difference when it comes to having my feet not slip off the pedals.

Great shoe but disappointed that the side split
After 6 months of use the sole became detached slightly from the side and lost its water resistance kinda sad since I have had great luck in the past with five-ten products

The best flat pedal shoe!
The freerider line has been my go to for years. The Freerider Pros are stuff enough for long pedal days and comfortable enough for any after ride adventures. They are also very durable. I won't buy any other riding shoes.

Comfort for width D feet!
Just wide enough to not squish my D width feet. The lacing is great too. The sole is a bit thin, so you may need to strategically remove a pin from your platform pedals to avoid drilling a hole thru the sole (I’ve had 3 pair of these and now know how to avoid that). They wear well, hold their shape, dry quickly and are my go-to shoe for mtb!
