Kryptotal-F 29in Tire offers tuned front grip with reinforced casing and aggressive tread for enduro terrain
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve run a lot of front tires over the years, and this one hits the mark. Stable when braking, grippy in the corners, and it holds its shape even when running low pressure. A solid upgrade for aggressive riders."
Engineered for the demands of modern trail and enduro riding, the Continental Kryptotal-F 29in Tire offers precise front-end grip and predictable handling across mixed terrain. With a tread pattern optimized for directional stability and cornering control, it gives riders the confidence to push harder through chutes, berms, and tech sections.
Continental's Gravity casing adds extra support under hard cornering and braking, while reinforced sidewalls increase durability and reduce the risk of pinch flats. Depending on the chosen compound, riders can dial in soft or ultra-soft traction to match their conditions and riding style. The aggressive tread layout delivers confident grip in loose-over-hard terrain while maintaining rolling speed for long stages and pedal-heavy transitions.
Whether you're racing enduro or just hitting rowdy local trails, the Kryptotal-F is built to lead the charge with sharp steering and surefooted control.

New Boss in town
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I love trying new tires and admittedly hadn't been impressed by anything Continental had put out in years. When I picked up a set of these I expected they'd be better than the older offerings from Conti but I didn't expect to love them so much. These tires offer excellent traction in a variety of conditions from loose over hard, pure moon dust, wet roots and rocks, and everything in between. These are now my go to do-it-all trail and enduro tires. Compared to some of the best tires in this category like the Assegai, I find these tires offer just as good of traction but the rubber last much longer than a Maxx Grip or similar compounds. I run the soft DH variant on my long travel bike and find the weight is comparable to a DD Maxxis casing, if not lighter weight and personally I prefer the support the DH casing offers over a DD. The trail casing with the soft compound is an excellent tire for those with a longer-travel trail bike that still need to earn their turns by pedaling but don't want to sacrifice downhill performance. If you're new rubber curious and want to try something new I don't think you'll be disappointed with a set of these. Pair this with the Kryptotal R for better braking performance in the rear, or fun the FR front and rear for better rolling performance.

New favorite

I used to vary between DHF and assegai depending on the bike, but I run these on all the bikes now. The trail casing is at least as tough as exo+ and these provide amazing cornering traction. The durability is amazing. I’m on my third rear tire on my primary trail bike and this front is still holding up great.

Good Downhill Traction
Good traction in downhill corners. When mounting the tire to the rim, challenging to get the bead to seal to the rim.
