Lightweight Drift Short features stretch fabric and removable chamois liner for comfort on the trail

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"These shorts breathe well, stretch just right, and the liner isn’t overbuilt—ideal for everything from flow trails to quick errands. A staple in my summer ride kit."

With trail-focused features and low-key looks, the Club Ride Apparel Drift Short delivers the performance we need without overcomplicating the ride. Whether we’re tackling sunbaked singletrack or commuting around town, these shorts give us breathable comfort and just-right support in the saddle.

The included liner features a lightweight, breathable chamois for cushion on long hauls, while the main short uses stretch-woven fabric that moves with us over every pedal stroke. The mid-rise waistband with yoga-style stretch inserts ensures comfort whether we're climbing, descending, or just kicking back post-ride.

Built for high summer miles and quick weekend loops alike, the Drift Short balances performance-driven design with an easygoing fit that feels right on and off the bike.

Slim fit is code for hardly any padding

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

IF these shorts had burlier padding, they'd be great. The fit is fine. Good breathability. I just am NOT going to pick these for a ride longer than 1-2 hours.

Padding in weird place

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The padding is off. It’s very far forward and the back ones feel like they are separating my buttcheeks and riding up into my crack. It feels uncomfortable when not riding the bike

perfect liner shorts

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

i mtn bike about twice a week for 2-3 hours. my butt was getting sore because all my very old chamois had no padding left. My butt is happy again; these offer ample padding. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice, thin, stretchy, comfortable material of the main shorts; way nicer than the standard thicker Lycra. And they are opaque so can be worn without overshorts if needed.

Nice shorties

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I love love love the montcham shorts but my size was sold out so I got the drift shorts too. As the other review mentioned they are a ?2hr? short but I?ve worn them for longer rides and I do notice a little discomfort over the montcham shorts but only slightly. The drift shorts are pretty darn comfy and the price is superb. Breathable, good cut, doesn?t roll up and they are comfy. The waistband is comfy too. Good buy.
