Great Pad!!

I have done a dozen or more rides in this bib. Rides are 20-45 miles typically. Live in southern AZ so typically warm to very warm riding temps & dry. For Castelli products that can be oddly sized this product run US correctly. I am 6’ and 184 lbs. size large fits properly length wise and size wise. This bib is one of several different models castelli equips with its top of the line pad/chamois. aim for that pad in the model bib that makes sense for you. Hours of comfort and good sweet / moisture management.

Compression is good, pad is a littler better than just okay. Straps are a step down than my more high end bibs, but for the price they’ll do. All the seams all over the bibs are the biggest downside. I’ll keep them and wear them, but likely not buying a second pair, unless they’re on a pretty good sale. I’m 5’5”, 160lbs and initially ordered a medium based on measurements. Had to return those and get a large. The large fits fine, but they’re borderline too short in the straps.

My Go-To BIbs for Big Rides and Every Da

I've owned at least 6 pairs of Castelli Endurance Bibs (v2 and v 3) over the years, and love them. The quality is excellent, the material lasts well, and to me the Progetto chamois pad is the best I've found, especially for those long days out (4-10 hours). The chamois is relatively thin, so you don't get that bulky diaper feeling, but it has the right blend of densities to be comfortable for the long haul. As noted in nearly every review, Castelli bibs run very small, and these are meant to have a snug, compression fit, so go up at least one size, and maybe two, compared to other brands. At 6'1" and 193lbs, I wear size Lg or XL in most bibs, but in Castelli I get XXL, and these still have that compression fit. Some reviewers here commented on these being sheer in places, but I suspect they may have been referring to a different model (maybe they got the indoor or liner versions?). There's nothing sheer about these, and they offer good coverage everywhere it's needed. On that note, I also appreciate that the shape of the straps bring the mesh waist area up and over any slight love handles some of us may have, so there no waistband cutting in or creating that "muffin top" look. Some have also noted whet they thought was an unfortunately placed seam, but it's not like a seam runs right up the middle of the crotch (like some Pearl Izumi bibs); look at the pics here and you'll see it arches above the nether region. With proper "placement," I've never had a problem with any seams rubbing anywhere with these bibs. If you like having side cargo pockets, Castelli now has the Unlimited Endurance Bibshort, which uses the top of the line Progetto chamois, with a softer material throughout the body than they use in the Endurance 3 (less compressive), and the same overall cut. I like having side pockets, so those are my new overall favorites, but for rides when I'm not carrying as much stuff, I'll definitely keep some of the Endurance 3 bibs in my rotation. I also bought my wife the women's version, and she loves those too. Highly recommended!

Runs way too small!

I bought a large thinking this would be enough of a size up and I was wrong. The large size was way too tight at the crotch area which is not a flattering look and it felt uncomfortable. Unsure if I will re-order the XL or just go with another brand.

Unfortunately a little disappointed

First thought is I should have ordered two sizes up rather than one compared to my other bibbs to obtain maximum comfort. Second concern is a seam around the men’s kickstand area. This is just enough to make it a noticeable distraction. Rode a short 35 mile ride and that’s my opinion of the product.

Bought these as a gift and will have to return. They run a size smaller and surprisingly the front and sides is see-through.

Great shorts with one MAJOR design flaw

These short have the potential to be my go to everyday shorts if it weren't for one major design flaw. As others have mentioned, the modesty panel in the front is much shorter than other shorts out there. The problem isn't a modesty thing though, it's a comfort issue. Because it's so short it puts the stitching in the one place you don't want it, right on your "soldier". Luckily I only went on a short 30 mile ride and even with that it about rubbed me raw. Glad I didn't do my long ride today!

Great product
- Familiarity:

I bought these for my boyfriend to replace similar ones by the same Italian company. He reports they are fantastic. They run SMALL so definitely order at least one Dixie larger than usual.

Comfortable but runs small
- Familiarity:

I ordered medium and large after reading other reviews and sure enough I could barely get the mediums on and they are on their way back to Backcountry. The large fits well. I have done a couple of rides and they feel great.
