EP8 motor and 150mm travel unlock full-suspension power with the Moterra Neo 4 Bike
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"With the Moterra Neo 4, I get legit trail bike feel plus all the benefits of an e-drive. The Shimano EP8 motor is smooth and intuitive—no weird surges—and the 630Wh battery lasts way longer than I expected. The geometry feels spot-on for both tight corners and big hits. I’ve taken this on 20+ mile days with a ton of elevation and still had power to spare."
The Cannondale Moterra Neo 4 Bike gives us the freedom to explore more trail than ever before—whether we’re grinding up fire roads or railing descents deep in the backcountry. The SmartForm C2 Alloy frame is engineered for all-mountain versatility, combining 150mm of rear travel with a 150mm RockShox 35 Silver R fork for plush yet controlled suspension response. Its progressive geometry, short chainstays, and a low center of gravity translate to confident handling and snappy cornering at speed.
At the core of the Moterra Neo 4 is the Shimano EP8 drive system. With 85Nm of torque and intuitive pedal assist, the EP8 motor powers us uphill without feeling overly intrusive, while the large 630Wh battery keeps us riding farther without battery anxiety. A Shimano SC-EM800 display allows Bluetooth-enabled fine-tuning of ride modes. Cannondale routes the cabling internally and integrates the downtube battery cleanly into the frame for a refined finish.
The bike is trail-ready with a SRAM SX/NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, delivering wide-range gearing to match any terrain. TRP Slate G4 four-piston brakes with 200mm rotors bring confident modulation and power to match the e-assist speed. Wide 29 x 2.6in Maxxis Rekon tires keep grip high on variable terrain, and a TranzX dropper post rounds out the build for aggressive descending. From high-alpine loops to local shuttle laps, the Moterra Neo 4 offers premium e-performance in a purpose-built platform.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
